EDUCATION AND ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Dev Bahadur Khadka is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Department at Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan. He holds a Master’s Degree in Physics from the Central Department of Physics, Tribhuvan University, Nepal, specializing in Quantum Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Solid State Physics, and Mathematical Physics. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Physics with minors in Mathematics and Environmental Science from Tri-Chandra Multiple Campus, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Additionally, he holds a Proficiency Certificate in Bio with extra Mathematics from the Central Department of Science and Technology, Nepal.

RESEARCH AND TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Throughout his career, Dev Bahadur Khadka has combined his academic pursuits with teaching roles. He served as a Lecturer at Golden Gate Int’l College, Kathmandu, Nepal, from July 2009 to February 2021, teaching courses in Energy and Environment, undergraduate physics, and Higher Secondary level Physics. He also contributed significantly to theoretical lectures and laboratory demonstrations. His research interests include the photovoltaic properties of bismuth-based compounds, as explored in his PhD research.

SEMINARS, CONFERENCES, AND MEMBERSHIPS

Dev Bahadur Khadka has actively participated in international conferences and seminars, including the Asia-Pacific International Conference on Perovskite, Organic Photovoltaics and Optoelectronics. He has presented at the International Conference on Frontiers of Physics and engaged in seminars organized by institutions like the Nepal Physical Society, American Physical Society, and IEEE. He holds memberships in the Nepal Physical Society, American Physical Society, IEEE, and Material Research Society (MRS).

INTERESTS AND AWARDS

Outside of academia, Dev Bahadur Khadka maintains a keen interest in researching PV cells and Lithium-ion batteries, as well as appreciating natural beauties. He has been recognized with awards for physics teaching excellence at Uniglobe Higher Secondary School/College and holds a lifetime membership in the Nepal Physical Society.
