Neelu Nagpal began her academic journey with a B-Tech in Electrical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, where she graduated with first division honors in 1999. She continued her education with a Master’s in Control & Instrumentation from the same institution, achieving distinction with a 75.12% score in 2007. Her academic achievements culminated in a Ph.D. from Delhi Technological University, where she conducted research on "Environment Force Estimation with Stochastic Noise and Control for Robotics," earning her doctorate in June 2007.

She has been an Associate Professor at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT), New Delhi, since August 2006. Her teaching career began as a Lecturer at Chottu Ram Rural Institute of Technology and Pusa Polytechnic.
