WORKING EXPERIENCE

Mohamed Ahmed Elsadek is an Assistant Professor at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University, China, since August 2022. Previously, he served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Horticulture at the Faculty of Agriculture, Suez Canal University, Egypt, from November 2020 to August 2022. From March 2018 to February 2022, he held a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Landscape Architecture at Tongji University. He has also served as an Assistant Professor and a Teaching Lecturer at Suez Canal University.

TEACHING COURSES

He has taught a range of courses including Landscape Design and Principles, Ornamental Plants and Environment, Environmental Landscape and Cities Design, Afforestation and Creation of Forests, Flowers and Interior Landscape, Landscape Architecture and Garden Design, Production of Ornamental Plants, and Principles of Horticulture Production and Ornamental Plants Propagation.

PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE

From May 2015 to March 2018, Elsadek was the Director of Green Landscape Designs and Nurseries at Suez Canal University. He also served as the Head of the Ornamental Plants’ Nursery at the Faculty of Agriculture from April 2016 to March 2018.

EDUCATION

He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Horticulture from the Graduate School of Horticulture, Chiba University, Japan, in March 2014, with a thesis on the impact of interior plants on the amelioration of indoor environments. He also holds a Master of Science in Horticulture Science from Suez Canal University, Egypt, awarded in November 2007, with a thesis on the induction of polyploidy in some ornamental plants using colchicine. His academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Sciences from Suez Canal University, Egypt, in June 2002.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AND ACTIVITIES

Elsadek is the Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of Botanical Sciences and an editor for the SCIREA Journal of Environment. He is also a reviewer for several journals, including Urban Forestry and Urban Greening, Indoor and Built Environment, and the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.

SEMINARS, TRAINING, AND WORKSHOPS

Throughout his career, Elsadek has participated in various seminars, training sessions, and workshops. Notable among these are the Web Authorizing Using Dreamweaver, E-learning Management Systems, Advanced Spreadsheets, Advanced Microsoft Word, and Organize Conferences workshops at Suez Canal University in 2020, as well as his involvement in the 2020 International Shanghai Young Scholar Forum of Universities and the Seventh International Conference on Sustainable Agricultural Development at Fayoum University, Egypt, in 2017.
