Prof. Nonhlangabezo (Bezo) Mabuba began her academic journey by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Water Science from Duisburg-Essen Universität, Germany, in 2007, followed by a Ph.D. in Natural Sciences from the same institution in collaboration with ThyssenKrupp Steel AG, Hamborn, Germany, in 2010. Marsheal Fisonga embarked on his academic journey at the High Institute of Mining and Metallurgy of Moa, Cuba, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering. His exceptional performance was recognized with the prestigious Summa Cum Laude distinction. Prior to this, he acquired a strong foundation in diverse subjects, including Spanish Language, Advanced Physics, Advanced Mathematics, Inorganic Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Computer Science, and Cuban History at Agrarian University of Havana.

Marsheal Fisonga has been an integral part of The University of Zambia, School of Mines, Department of Mining Engineering, contributing significantly to its academic landscape. He started as a Part-Time Assistant Tutor in 2014, later becoming a Staff Development Fellow in 2015.
