EMPLOYMENT AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Syed Ayaz Ali Abid Ali is currently serving as an Associate Professor of Pharmacology at Y. B. Chavan College of Pharmacy, Aurangabad, a position he has held since January 2010. Prior to this, he served in the same capacity on an ad hoc basis from February 2008 to January 2010. His earlier roles include Assistant Professor and Incharge Principal at Royal College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Sayne, Malegaon, and as a Research Scientist at Ranbaxy Research Laboratories Ltd, Gurgaon from May 2005 to March 2007. He also contributed as a Lecturer at Hamdard University, New Delhi, from August 2001 to July 2004.

SUBJECTS TAUGHT

His academic contributions span a range of subjects in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. At the undergraduate level, he has taught Anatomy, Physiology & Health Education, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Pharmacology and Bioassay, Clinical Pharmacy & Therapeutics, and Pharmacy Practice. His contributions extend to serving on the Library Committee and undertaking responsibilities as a university assignment setter, examiner, moderator, and Center Superintendent for examinations.

UNIVERSITY ASSIGNMENTS  

He has actively participated in university assignments, including serving as a Paper Setter, Expert for staff selection, PG teacher recognition, Ph.D. guide, and member of syllabus framing committees. He has chaired and participated in local inspection committees, vigilance squads, and acted as a Ph.D. thesis evaluator for Savitribai Phule Pune University. His expertise has also been recognized through nominations as a subject expert by various universities for staff selection processes.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Dr. Ali holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Hamdard University, New Delhi, awarded in January 2005. He completed his M. Pharm. in Pharmacology from the same institution in November 2000 and earned his B. Pharm. from Dr. BAMU, Aurangabad, in June 1997. His secondary education includes achieving first-class distinctions in HSC Science from Aurangabad Board in June 1993 and SSC in June 1991.

RESEARCH GUIDANCE AND ACHIEVEMENTS

He has been actively involved in guiding students, having supervised 38 M. Pharm. theses and currently guiding 7 Ph.D. students at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. Dr. Ali has secured research grants, including a Seminar grant from the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) in February 2012. He has also filed several patents, including innovations in drug delivery systems, cancer management formulations, and medical device designs.

NAOKI TAKEISHI holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Tohoku University, Japan, and currently serves as an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kyushu University, Japan.
