Dr. Amir Detho holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Environmental Engineering from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). His doctoral research focused on the innovative treatment of landfill leachate using composite adsorbents. Prior to his Ph.D., he completed his Master of Engineering in Energy and Environment Engineering at Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering Science & Technology, Pakistan, where he studied safety issues on the Hyderabad-Karachi Motorway. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, exploring the design of an electric wheelchair and conducting a mini-project on Sterling Engine fabrication.

CAREER PATH

Currently serving as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Built Environment at UTHM, Dr. Detho also holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering at Quaid-e-Awam University, Nawabshah, Pakistan. He has contributed significantly as a Lecturer and Lab Engineer at the same university, focusing on environmental engineering and sustainable technologies. His industrial experience includes roles as an Environmental Officer at Advanced Waste Recovery and Air Studies (AWRAS) in Malaysia and as an Assistant Engineer at Habib Sugar Mills Ltd in Pakistan.
