Tallal Abdel Karim Bouzir is an Associate Professor (Maître de conférences MCA) at the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism, Saad Dahlab University, Blida, Algeria, since December 2021. Previously, he served as an Associate Professor (Maître de conférences MCB) from October 2019 to December 2021 and as an Assistant Professor (Maître-assistant MAB) from October 2018 to October 2019. He was also a part-time professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Biskra University, from September 2014 to 2018.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

He holds a Doctorate in Architecture from Biskra University (2014-2018), focusing on urban morphology and noise pollution. His academic journey includes a Master’s degree in Architecture (2012-2014) and a Bachelor’s in Architecture (2009-2012) from the same university. He also earned a Habilitation to Direct Research from the University of Blida (2018-2021) in the field of architecture.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Tallal's research focuses on parametric analysis and optimization of urban and architectural configurations, particularly in oasis environments. His projects include the analysis of user satisfaction with health issues in these environments and the Soundscape Attributes Translation Project (SATP) at University College London.

RESEARCH LABORATORIES

He has been affiliated with the Laboratory of Design and Modeling of Architectural and Urban Shapes and Ambiances (LACOMOFA) at Biskra University from September 2014 to 2018. Currently, he is a member of the Environment and Technology for Architecture and Cultural Heritage (ETAP) laboratory at Blida University.

PEDAGOGICAL CONTRIBUTIONS

Tallal has developed and delivered various pedagogical materials, including course handouts for the Bachelor’s in Operational Project Management at the University of Biskra. His contributions to education emphasize practical and theoretical aspects of architecture.

CONFERENCE ORGANIZATION AND SCIENTIFIC EVENTS

He is the Founder and Conference Chair of the "Quality of Architectural and Urban Atmospheres: Theories and Application" Conference (QAUA-1) held in October 2023. He has also organized and participated in several scientific events, including workshops and conferences on sustainable development and architectural investigation tools.

EDITORIAL AND SCIENTIFIC ROLES

Tallal serves on the editorial boards of the Environmental Protection Research Journal and the International Academy of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Management. He is actively involved in the scientific committees of multiple conferences, including PBDD1 2023 and CCTS 2024, reflecting his significant role in advancing research and dialogue in architecture and urbanism.
